Change Your Future

In the same way that the Kudzu vine stifles any life underneath it, worry does the same in our hearts.

In fact, I would go so far as to say that:

Worry changes our future

When the Word talks about our future, He uses words like hope, wisdom, glory, and a treasure of fulfilled living. He has big plans for us.

We activate those plans when we believe that He has the capability of bringing them to pass.

Thankfully, most of what we worry about never comes to pass. All that happens is we get deep-set age lines between our eye-brows.

However, worrying about the future blocks God from pouring out the blessings on us that He has already prepared.

“People like that should not expect to receive anything from the Lord” (James 1:7 New Living Translation).

I can think of numerous good people that I know who just never seem to get ahead. They go to church and take their children there, but there’s just always something negative going on in their lives. Their job fizzles. They get overwhelmed in debt. Their family falls apart. Just what is the source of the problem?

In many cases, it is the root crown of worry that they fertilize every single day.

Rather than taking every thought captive to worship, their thoughts are trained to think the very worst. And instead of being done to them according to their faith, anxiety blocks all the best.

Commit today to use the rest of your days with one purpose: to listen to His Word while seated at His feet

In great delight, sit down in His shade and allow Him to feed You the fruit He chose especially for you.

Your heart can’t help but erupt in worship.

And when you get up, follow Him into the future that He has already planned just for you.
