Uncovering Your Hidden Fountain

As we continue to pray for opened eyes, let’s do a truth meditation in which David prays that same prayer.

Below are insights into the ancient text. Meditate on what the Father is saying to you specifically, then compile your meditation so that you can remember His Words in coming days. I’ll be doing the same.

“Open my eyes, that I may behold wonderful things from Your Law.” (Psalm 119:18)

Opengalah – Hebrew verb – “to uncover; like a face from which a veil is removed”; (Cross reference: “But to this day whenever Moses is read, a veil lies over their heart; but whenever a man turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.” – 2 Corinthians 3:15-16)

My eyesayin – Hebrew noun – “can be the physical eye as well as mental and spiritual faculties; also meaning a spring or fountain.” (Cross reference: “He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being shall flow rivers of living water.’” – John 7:38)

That I may behold nabat – Hebrew verb – “to look, regard; (figuratively) to have respect for anything.”

Wonderful thingspala – Hebrew verb – “to be marvelous, be wonderful, be surpassing, be extraordinary”; from a root word meaning “to be distinguished from.”

Lawtowrah – Hebrew noun – “law, direction, instruction.” (Cross reference: “Christ is the end of the law” – Romans 10:4; “No one is justified by the Law” – Galatians 3:11;  “A man is not justified by the works of the Law, but through faith in Christ Jesus” – Galatians 2:16;  “Therefore the Law has (led) us to Christ” – Galatians 3:24.

Selah.

Have you written out what you heard the Father saying to you through His Word?

I’ll share mine, if you like:

“Father, You continue to emphasize that our entreaties should be more about the spiritual realities than the physical ones.

Today, You have revealed that I not only need to have my spiritual eyes unveiled, but also to uncover the Fountain of Life that lies dormant within.

All too often, I familiarize myself with You to such a degree that I miss the absolute wonder of Who You really are. My emphasis on You as my friend devalues the Gushing Geyser of Your Holy Spirit, Who resides in my heart.

I know that it is not adherence to rules and regulations that makes me holy. ‘Giving up this’ or ‘doing without that’ cannot make me perfect in conscience (Hebrews 9:9-10). No, Jesus within me is the end to all of that.  He alone gives me the ability to say “no’ to all ungodliness (Titus 2:11-12 TNIV).

I’ve kept the lid on Your mighty power far too long. Erupt Your Love Fountain within me (Romans 5:5). Use my life as an overflow of Your Power to those around me. Truly open my eyes, that I may behold extraordinary things from Your Face. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Now, share that which you have heard Father say.
