Cowboy Stew

This one comes from my dear friend, Jean Trull. It’s a family favorite of theirs (and now ours, too!). Add cornbread and you have a Texas meal.

1 lb. ground beef

1 chopped onion or several green onions

1 can tomatoes

1 can whole kernel corn

1 can ranch style beans

1 beef bouillion cube

2 tsp. chili powder

1/2 tsp. garlic salt

salt & pepper to taste

Brown meat and onions. Add remaining ingredients and cook for 30 to 45 minutes. 

May serve with grated cheese and even picante sauce. It can also be poured over Fritos for a delicious Frito pie.
