Buttermilk Biscuits

This recipe in one in my “Mona” series: meaning that it’s amazing and truly from scratch. Mona Gregory used this and other easy recipes to feed three growing boys during their years in China. You too will love both the “China” hints as well as the results. 

2/3 C Buttermilk (I use a little vinegar with milk – also works with boxed milk or bags)

1/3 C Canola Oil (or the least strongest oil in China)

2 C Flour

1/2 t salt

3 t Baking powder

Roll out onto floured cutting board. Cut with biscuit cutter or a spare tin can, opened on both ends. Bake @ 450 F for 12-15 minutes until browned.
