Monte Cristo Sandwiches

2 slices of bread per sandwich
1 slice of ham per sandwich
1 slice of Swiss cheese per sandwich (may substitute other cheeses)
Ranch dressing
1 egg beaten with 3 Tablespoons milk per 2 sandwiches

Toast bread on both sides. Make a sandwich with cheese, ham and ranch dressing. Dip both sides of sandwich in egg batter. Grill in skillet over medium heat until well browned and filling is hot. Slice hot sandwiches into four triangles. Serve with raspberry jam.
