I thank You that every Word that You speak is Truth (John 17:17). You do not just speak Truth, but are actually are the Truth (John 14:6). Thank You that Your Words are not like the scribes – written down but not lived out. I affirm that You speak out of the depths of who You are (Luke 6:45). You speak with authority because Your life is equivalent to Your Word (Matthew 7:29). The sum of Your Word is Truth (Psalm 119:160).
Believing that You are Truth, I desire to gird Truth around my innermost being (Eph. 6:14). I ask that You cover my emotions with Your reality, not my own. Protect my feelings from being overwhelmed by a mood. I submit my every emotion to Your truth. May I live knowing Your Holy Emotion rather than being tossed around by my own. Remind me today that You have authority over this part of my flesh (John 17:2).
I know that this belt of Truth is not only for my protection, but also designed to carry the Sword of the Spirit. As I read the Bible today in spirit, I ask that You hide Your Words into my innermost being (Psalm 119:9-11).
In Jesus’ Name, Amen
