How to Pray Over Insecurity

Holy Father,

Praise You that by one sacrifice, You regained for man all that Adam gave away (Hebrews 10:12-13). As I come boldly to Your throne today on behalf of __________, I realize that my power in prayer comes as I align myself with Your Holy Will (Matthew 26:39). I do so now, asking that Your kingdom and Your will come into my life, in the same way that these are unfolded in heaven (Matthew 6:10).

By no merit of my own, You have given me authority to tread upon all the power of the enemy without injury (Luke 10:19).  _____________’s enemy right now is insecurity, negative self-talk, and low self-esteem. You, my Holy Joshua, have called me to put my foot on the neck of this adversary of insecurity, pinning him down until You deal the final blow (Joshua 10:24).

I confess to You, that I have been a fearful warrior, recoiling from taking my victorious position over this defeated foe. I have forgotten that You, the Holy One within me, is actually Greater and Stronger than our opponent in this world (1 John 4:4). Forgive me, Lord.

Surge Your Power within me by bringing all Your promises back to my memory (Colossians 1:29; John 14:26). Do this for __________ as well. Thank You for sending Your Son to free us from fear and to destroy all of the enemy’s works (Luke 1:74; 1 John 3:8). Praise You for being faithful to strengthen and protect us from the evil one (2 Thessalonians 3:3). Reveal Your accomplished work that together, we may faithe You into actual experience.

Now, I put my foot down upon the enemy’s work in _________. Cover her, O Lord, in this day of battle (Psalm 140:6). Thank You for training our hands for war and our fingers for battle (Psalm 144:1). The evil one has acted the victor too long. Spirit of (insecurity), spirit of (hopelessness), spirit of (anxiety) you have dominated lives in this family long enough. In the Name of Jesus, the work of (anxiety) is defeated in her life. I demand you obey the Stronger Man, Jesus and once and for all leave ________ alone (Luke 11:21-22). Go to where the Lord Jesus Himself sends you.

Realizing that the evil one will try to block prompt delivery of Jesus’ provision, remind me Lord to pray persistently until the emancipation comes (Daniel 10:12-13). I’m not moving my foot off the evil one’s neck until You crush him underneath (Romans 16:20). Strike the evil head of (insecurity) that comes against her and slit him open from thigh to neck. Turn the source of this pain against evil instead of against her (Habakkuk 3:13-14).

In the physical realm, she and I don’t look much like warriors, but in Your Spirit this is who we are. Just one of us can put to flight a thousand of the enemy, for it is the Lord our God Who fights for us (Joshua 23:10). Come even now Lord Jesus to redeem _______’s soul in peace from the battle which is against her (Psalm 55:18). In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
