Come My child,

Bring your coffee with you and sit a moment. Our visits have been far too infrequent, don’t you agree?

You’ve known My Presence. You’ve basked in My Love. But, for some reason My Radiance scares you a little. You tend to slip back  into rote reading rather than Real Relationship. I came for abundance, remember – not just abstinence (John 10:10).

I am Emmanuel – God with you (Isaiah 7:14). When I tabernacled My Life on earth, one of My tent stakes went directly into your heart (John 1:14). My plan has always included you. I descended within you. You absorbed within Us (John 17:21). Don’t run from the unity.

We cannot be separated (Romans 8:38-39). Such is physically impossible. I am in the depths of your spirit, surging a fountain of Living Liquid – swelling and swirling – a Spirit-Stream gushing within you (John 7:38: Romans 5:5).

I can never leave you or forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). Such is mentally unthinkable. I chose you, pursued you, then adopted you (1 Peter 2:9; John 1:12). All this because I wanted you specifically and desperately, my dear, dear sought-after child (Isaiah 66:13).

So, stop trying to please Me with your accomplishments.  Such is spiritually ridiculous. I not only loved you at your worst, I still see how very weak you still are (Romans 5:9). Oh, how I wish you would accept it as well. As long as you make yourself to be more than you are, I’ll have to continue revealing you to be less than you are (Psalm 102:23)

Accept your inadequacies (2 Corinthians 3:5). I don’t condemn you for them (Romans 8:1). Quit condemning yourself. It’s not the actions you perform, but the faith you stand on that makes My heart sing (Hebrews 11:6; Zephaniah 3:17). Be single-minded in your faith. It’s the only action you need.

So lay aside the play-acting and take up the praise. Instead of deciding on the very best thing you can do, thank Me for what I’m already doing. I will accomplish what concerns you, My precious child (Psalm 138:8). I am completing everything that you need (Psalm 57:2). Rest wholly in Me.
