A New Look

Welcome to my updated website. Look around. Click some links. Help me discover blips in wording or technology as we make final adjustments.

Sign up now for an email version of my blog. I hope to be sending out my posts via email in a couple of months. This allows each weekly post to come to you directly without relying on your memory to come to the site or social media to catch your eye.

I am also looking for a 20-something with a hungry heart to help me with social media. It is a compensated position, entailing about an hour a week. Requirements include some experience in this area, a strong commitment to follow-through with agreements and the ability to do some basic graphic design. Use the contact page to email me if you have interest.

Next, I’d like you to consider joining me for a week away the first part of May. Space has been reserved for you and ten other like-minded ladies to unplug and reconnect with God on the Spokane River in Post Falls, Idaho. (Sorry guys.)

Based on the premise that God speaks to His people, we will be hearing His Voice both corporately and personally throughout the week. Drawing from exercises I personally used to keep spiritually fresh in Asia, we will be listening for His Word and praying in ways you may not have explored before. I assure you that although you may feel stretched a bit, every exercise is based on His Word. I’ve even included guided exercises aimed to help you refresh and breathe deeply again.

During this week-long reflective, sponsored by Women’s Development Track, I will be joined by my long-time friend Amanda Taylor Walker. Amanda is also an author as well as an amazing teacher holding an MA in Biblical Counseling and a doctorate in Educational Leadership. The event is Sunday — Saturday, May 5-12. More information is available at the WDT website.

Here is what others say about this reflective:

Enjoy a time to soak in God’s Word so that the written Word leads you to the Living Word, Jesus!  I came feeling encouraged in ministry and in my walk with the Lord, but still knowing there is more! I so enjoyed having time to explore a variety of ways to meet with the Lord that were not part of my regular experience. I loved having personal time to reflect but also time with the group to enhance our insights together. On top of that, the time to enjoy new sisters and step back from the normal pace and issues on my plate was invigorating!”

“A great week of interacting with God and His Word and with ladies who love Him.  We used some new ways of meeting with God that were fun and innovative, that gave me fresh ways of connecting with Him and interceding on behalf of others and myself.”

How long’s it been since you spent an entire week in the mountains breathing deeply and reconnecting with Your Maker?

Well, that’s too long. 🙂

(And if that last little blurb didn’t ring a bell… it’s a commercial from my childhood)
