Banana Nut Bread

This was my mother’s recipe, so I know it is at least on it’s third generation in our family. Who knows? Maybe my grandmother passed it to her.

Sift together in small bowl:
3 cups all purpose flour
2 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon soda
½ teaspoon sal

Cream together in large bowl:
¾ cup softened butter or margarine
1 ½ cups sugar
2 eggs

Blend together:
⅔ cup mashed bananas, about 2 medium well ripened
⅓ cup milk
1 cup chopped pecans

Add banana mixture alternately with dry ingredients to butter and eggs. Bake at 350˚ for 50 minutes. Yield: 2 loaves
